3 Teenagers arrested for killing motorcyclist.

              The 3 Suspects 18-year-old Samson Odunayo, said he decided to go into robbery because he needed money for data subscription, so as to delve into internet fraud. He is one of the teenagers arrested for allegedly killing a motorcyclist in Ogun state. The suspects (Sodiq Awokoya,18, Samson Odunayo,18, and Jimoh Rilwan, 17,) were arrested on the 8th of October at tollgate area of Ogere where they had gone to sell the deceased motorcycle. Further investigation revealed that Samson Odunayo was the person who called the deceased to take him to somewhere in Iperu, unknown to the okada man that he had already informed Sodiq Awokoya to wait in a bush along Ona Eri area of Iperu with cutlass and other dangerous weapons. On getting to the point, Samson Odunayo ordered the deceased to stop because he has gotten to his destination. While the deceased was waiting to collect his money, Sodiq Awokoya came out with a cutlass and hacked him down...

FG declares Tuesday public holiday.

The federal government has declared Tuesday, October 19, as a public holiday to mark the Eid-ul-Maulud celebration. Permanent secretary, ministry of interior, Shuaib Belgore, made this known via a statement to this effect on Friday. The statement reads: “The Federal Government has declared Tuesday October 19th, 2021 as Public Holiday to mark this year’s Eid-ul-Mawlid Celebration in commemoration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). “Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, who made this declaration on behalf of the Federal Government, congratulates all Muslim faithful both at home and in the Diaspora for witnessing this year’s occasion. “He admonishes all Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of love, patience and perseverance which are the virtues of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), adding that doing so would guarantee peace and security in the country. “Ogbeni Aregbesola enjoined Nigerians, particularly Muslims, to refrain from violen...
