Oyo Assembly impeaches Deputy Governor, Olaniyan

Afolabi Oyekunle. The Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Rauf Aderemi Olaniyan has been impeached. Olaniyan was impeached by members of the state House of Assembly on Monday. The deputy governor was impeached around 11:30 am by the lawmakers. The House of Assembly is dominated by members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The lawmakers during the plenary on Monday announced that they impeached the deputy governor following the recommendation of the panel set up to investigate him. .              Engineer Olaniyan. The announcement of the impeachment was made on Monday following the adoption of the recommendations of the report of the seven-man panel set up to investigate allegations levelled against the deputy governor. The panel report was read by the Majority Leader of the House, Sanjo Adedoyin from Ogbomoso.

Primate Ayodele's Prophecy On Osun Governorship Election That Never Came To Pass.

Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has been put on a spotlight over his prediction about Osun state Governorship election that has now crashed like a pack of card. Ayodele in a controversial prophecy made in May, just about two months ago disclosed the party that would emerge victorious in both Ekiti and Osun State Governorship elections which had come and gone in the months of June and July respectively. Mrs. Kemi Nelson, a former Commissioner in Lagos state who served during the tenure of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and former executive director of Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund and zonal women leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has been confirmed  dead. Nelson, the only female member of Bola Tinubu’s influential Governance Advisory Council in Lagos state, passed on this Sunday. She was 66 years old. Senator Adeleke Wins Osun-State Governorship Election.

By Afolabi Oyekunle. Senator Ademola Adeleke, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the early hours of today, emerged the winner of Osun State governorship election. Adeleke beat his closest rival, Governor Gboyega Oyetola, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to emerge winner. The election was held across the 30 local government areas of the state amid tight security with political parties adopting new methods of vote-buying. It also witnessed huge turnout of voters as the electorate trooped out enmass to cast their votes. Interestingly, as of press time, there was no record of violence. Governor elect with Uncle Davido Whereas the Osun State chapter of the PDP claimed victory in the election, last night, affirming that collated results from polling units confirmed its emerging victory, the ruling APC said the claim was capable of setting the state on fire.

NYSC Reacts As Police Arrest Corps Member For Electoral Misconduct

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has condemned an alleged act of electoral misconduct involving a corps member, Orji Nkenna, and some staff of the Independent National Electoral Co mmission (INEC) in Osun State. NYSC made this condemnation in a statement by its Director, Press and Public Relations, Mr Eddy Megwa, on Sunday. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Osun Police Command on Saturday said it arrested Nkenna, an INEC supervisor, and another, for being responsible for missing Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). The command’s Spokesperson, SP Yemisi Opalola, alleged that the accused and others at large, manipulated the collection of PVCs at their Local Government Collection office, in the Atakumosa West Local Government Area. He Had An Affair With Our Maid – Paul Okoye’s Wife Opens Up.

Paul Okoye of the Psquare music group has been dragged to court by his estranged wife, Anita, on the grounds of infidelity. Recall that in 2021 the duo had split with Anita citing unfaithfulness on the part of her husband, and lack of care for their kids as some of the reasons for the breakup. On Friday, photos of court documents which showed that Anita had filed a lawsuit against Paul Okoye at a High court in Abuja, went viral. She also revealed chats between the singer and his alleged lovers. She further stated that the singer had an affair with their housemaid named Florence. The leaked documents also revealed that the singer sent his wife and her sister packing from their home when she discovered the relationship between him and the housemaid. She added that he backed out of an undertaking by failing to give her brand, TannkCo, a space in the mall to which she contributed N10m for the purchase of the land and the building of the mall.
