FG denies approval of Lagos-Abuja bullet train project By Afolabi Oyekunle  The Federal Ministry of Transportation has refuted a story purporting an imminent launch of a “Lagos-Abuja High-Speed Bullet Train that will reduce travel time between both cities from 12 hours to just two to three hours”. In a rejoinder issued by the management of the ministry in Abuja, it stated that the report widely circulated on online platforms is fake and unfounded. Lagos reduces redline train fares by 30percent

In a bid to attract patronage to the red line train services in Lagos State and reduce the burden of passengers,  Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwoolu has announced the reductions of the train fares by 30percent. With   the   new   fare,   a   trip   between   Agbado   and   Oyingbo   will   now  cost    1000naira as against 1500naira  before the announcement. .“We   have   looked   at   the   numbers   and   have   therefore   decided   to   have   30   per   cent reduction   on   the   fare   paid   on   the   Red   Line.   This   means   that   a   trip   from   Agbado   to Oyingbo will now cost N1000." MWUN promotes some staff to key positions of the union.

The Maritime Workers Union of  Nigeria (MWUN)  recently approved the promotion of some of the Union's staff across board of the four branches of the Union for their dedication, discipline, commitment, hardwork, and goodly attitude towards effective and efficient productivity on the job for the Union at all times. This is according to a press release signed by Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna, Head of Media, MWUN The affected officers are  Comrade Oniha Erazua now Secretary General of the Union who takes over the reign of the Union as the new Ag. SG. Comrade Ekpo John is now Deputy Secretary General and takes over as the new DSG Administration and Human Resources of the Union. Comrade Kenneth Ibanga, Deputy Secretary General, was promoted as DSG Protocol/International Relations, while Comrade Ajayi A.
