MWUN promotes some staff to key positions of the union.

The Maritime Workers Union of  Nigeria (MWUN)  recently approved the promotion of some of the Union's staff across board of the four branches of the Union for their dedication, discipline, commitment, hardwork, and goodly attitude towards effective and efficient productivity on the job for the Union at all times.

This is according to a press release signed by Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna, Head of Media, MWUN




The affected officers are 
Comrade Oniha Erazua now Secretary General of the Union who takes over the reign of the Union as the new Ag. SG.

Comrade Ekpo John is now Deputy Secretary General and takes over as the new DSG Administration and Human Resources of the Union.

Comrade Kenneth Ibanga, Deputy Secretary General, was promoted as DSG Protocol/International Relations, while Comrade Ajayi A. Akinwumi is the new Deputy Secretary General,  Organizing/Operation of the Union and to also oversee the Seamen Branch.

Comrade Augustine Onoriode, is to assume the position of Deputy Secretary General (DSG) and Comrade Matthew Adele, becomes the General Secretary of Dockworkers Branch of the Union.

Comrade Okoro Kalu becomes the  General Secretary of Shipping Branch of the Union while  Comrade Joseph John Ekwere is the General Secretary of Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) Branch of the Union.

Comrade Olungwe Dagogo is the Ag. General Secretary of Seafarers Branch of the Union and  Comrade Garba Biu Mohammed now Ag. Assistant General Secretary (AGS) to Shipping Branch of the Union on Ship Data Management.

 Comrade R. Adebayo as Accountant to oversee NPA/Seafarers Branches accounts respectively.while Comrade Iyabo Ajibaye is to oversee Dockworkers/Shipping Branches 

Comrade  Owolabi A. Mark is the Senior Legal Officer of the Union and Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna now Senior Media Officer/ Head Media of the Union.

The affected staff of the Union had since assumed their new designations as  approved and signed by the Comrade Adeyanju, PG of the Union.

Table Water Producers decry multiple taxation say it could drive investors away

The symposium which was put together by the Association of Table Water Producers (ATWAP) of Nigeria, South West/Kwara zone, took place at St. Michael primary school, Ota, in Ogun State. Association of Senior Civil Servants affirms Comrade Shehu Mohammed as National President.

By  Afolabi Oyekunle.  Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) has affirmed that Comrade Shehu Mohammed is its National President. In a Press Statement issued in Abuja today, (1st March, 2025), the ASCSN Secretary-General, Comrade Joshua Apebo emphasized that Comrade Shehu Mohammed was elected the National President of the Union on Monday 12th August 2024 with other members of the Central Working Committee (CWC) during the 5th Quadrennial National Delegates Conference of the Association held at Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.
