The Electronic call up tickets to truckers should be part of the responsibilities of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA)  towards improvement of service, therefore the sales of the tickets is  illegal. This is the submission of the National President of the National Council of Managing Directors of Licensed Customs Agents (NCMDLCA) Mr. Lucky Amiwero at a one day breakfast meeting organised by the Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN) on the challenges of the Electronic call-up system towards optimal performance. The committee accused Port and Cargo Terminal(SIFAX GROUP), ENL Consortium Terminal C, ENL Consortium Terminal D, Josepdam Terminal and AMS Terminal of operating illegally since 2021 when their concession agreement expired. The Chairman of the House Committee on Privatisation and Commercialisation, Ibrahim Hamisu (APC, Kaduna), at a meeting with the seaport terminal operators, frowned at the failure of the relevant authorities to ensure that the affected terminal operators renew their concession agreement, lampooning them for allowing the illegality at the expense of the Federal government. The illegal crude oil vessel was arrested by a Private security outfit, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL). Securing this judgement is a first scenario in recent times when oil thieves and their barons are being prosecuted and brought to book as 20 crew members, including community boys' accomplices, were arrested in the operation. The police in the Charge NO. FHC/ABJ/CR/18/2024 B/W: INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE V.
