LASWA honours two retirees after 35years in service.

By Afolabi Oyekunle.  The Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) in its characteristic manner has  honoured two retirees whom it discribed as exceptional professionals and whose careers have left an indelible mark on water transportation in Lagos State. Both  Prince Gbadamosi Hakeem and Captain Shakirudeen Lamidi,  bowed out of active service after attaining the statutory 35 years of meritorious service in the Lagos State Civil Service. "Prince Gbadamosi Hakeem's retirement marks the end of an era in marine operations management. Widely regarded as one of the finest Marine Operations Supervisors LASWA has ever produced, he dedicated his career to ensuring the efficient maintenance, deployment, and operational readiness of LASWA's fleet of boats, which is why he is affectionately known as "Number 1" amongst his team members." Pensioners accuse Governor Sanwoolu of working against the interests of President Bola Tinubu.'

By Afolabi Oyekunle  Lagos state Governor Babajide Sanwoolu has been accused of working   at cross purposes to the aim and aspirations of President Bola Tinubu who wants a better living for all Pensioners in the country. Sanwo-Olu Joins Lagos APC Members in Prayer for Tinubu, Shettima Ahead of 2027 Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu  joined APC members, religious leaders and residents of the state for a special inter-faith prayer service for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC candidates ahead of the 2027 elections. The prayer service  held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos, brought together party members and residents from different walks of life. 100,000 Ogun Women Empowered to Fight Poverty, Strengthen Families

By Afolabi Oyekunle.  About 100,000 women across Ogun state have benefited from the World Bank-supported Nigeria for Women Programme (NFWP) This was disclosed by the Ogun state Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun who described   women’s economic empowerment as a strategic tool for fighting poverty and strengthening families and communities. Abiodun made the disclosure on Monday when he received the United Nations Deputy Secretary-General, Ms. Amina Mohammed, who joined him in interacting with beneficiaries of the programme at the Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
