Ajaero.
The Labour Party as presently stand does not serve the interest of Nigerian workers but those using the party to fulfill their political ambitions.
This is coming from the Nigeria Labour Congress President Comrade Joe Ajaero who has vowed that the party is to be reorganised, ideologies and make it conform with demands of workers.
Ajaero said this while touring several industrial unions where he preached to the workers to be political active.
The NLC president said henceforth anybody that is elected on the platform of the Labour party must meet with the ideology stand of the NLC; must not be anti-labour and should be corrupt free.
He said the NLC would not watch to see a Labour party that is not representing the interest of workers.
Ajaero called on workers to see the Labour party as their own and pursue their political ambition. He said though the party belongs to workers, they could also join other political parties.
The visitation to the Industrial unions took him to NUEE, the Union where he was General Secretary before clinching the position of NLC President.
He was also at NUATE, NUBIFIE, Maritime Workers Union, NUPENG, NUFLAMPEE and Food Union..
