Agbado-Oke Odo LCDA blazing the trail in communities development.

The Agbado-Oke Local Council Development Area(LCDA) is living no stone unturned to ensure the people of the areas enjoy the dividend of democracy through numerous developmental projects.

The. Spokesperson of the Legislative Arm and Chairman House Committee Works and Infrastructure, Honourable Obaleye Kayode  speaking with ForumNews Editor in Chief, Afolabi Oyekunle said many inner roads surfacing   have been embarked upon to make sure development is brought to all areas.

Honourable Obaleye Kayode said reconstruction of many roads in the communities will be given  great attention , while the legislative arm is working with the executive to see that all contracts are well executed.

He said the Council is also working according to the directives of Governor Babajide Sanwoolu to ensure all round development in the LCDA.

The lawmaker said the markets are being maintained to keep to standard urging market men and women to ensure proper sanitation as the council will not tolerate unclean market environment 

According to him, a market was recently commissioned at Ekoro junction to easy buying and selling.

. Honourable Obaleye appealed to the people of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA to promptly paid the rates giving to them to ensure more developmental projects 

He used the occasion to call on Nigerians to continue to exercise patience with the government of President Bola Tinubu as he is working for the betterment of all 

Honourable Obaleye said the citizens would soon start to enjoy the dividends of what he has been doing.

PenCom urges Lagos State Governor to extend periodic pension increase to retirees under CPS, as Sanwoolu welcomes the idea.

The National Pension Commission (PenCom)  has called on  the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to extend periodic pension increases currently enjoyed by Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS) retirees to those under the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) to boost their monthly pensions.  The Director General of PenCom, Ms. Omolola Oloworaran, made the request during a courtesy visit to Governor Sanwo-Olu at the Lagos State Government House on 7 May 2025. PENCOM pledges to see that Lagos State pays CPS retirees.

Director General of National Pension Commission, Ms Omolola Oloworaran has pledged that the Commission will fast track and work towards Lagos State government paying retirees under the Contributory Pension Scheme what is due to them like their federal counterparts. She made the pledge at a media workshop in Lagos for journalists.
