Another Honour for Transportation Icon, Dr Olusegun Musa.

With many awards already in the kitty, the Deputy President of National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders, (NAGAFF) Dr Olusegun Alade Musa has been found to deserve more as the National Association of Northern Students (NANNS) bestowed on him the 'Society Transformation Award .'

Dr Musa , Managing Director Widescope International Logistics Limited has been decorated many times by Associations, Corporate bodies and students.




This time, the National Association of Northern Students said  Dr Musa deserves the award because of  his activities identifying with the people, institutions and students without discrimination.

They described his as an Encyclopedia of ideas,businessman who has had a great impact in the economy in the transportation industry.

The Association said that the award is also in recognition of Dr Musa's immense contribution towards national development, educational upliftment, youths engagement and relentless service to humanity.

In his acceptance speech, Dr Musa reiterated his commitment to continue to support the youths to achieve their potential in the face of challenges confronting the nation.

 He advised the students to remain focus on their studies and be resilience in their pursuit of excellence.

He opined that it is time for  corporations and endowed individuals to contribute to youths educational development and engagement, particularly in the Northern parts of the country.

He advised the association to initiate a program that will aim at bringing back Northern children to school.

PenCom urges Lagos State Governor to extend periodic pension increase to retirees under CPS, as Sanwoolu welcomes the idea.

The National Pension Commission (PenCom)  has called on  the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to extend periodic pension increases currently enjoyed by Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS) retirees to those under the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) to boost their monthly pensions.  The Director General of PenCom, Ms. Omolola Oloworaran, made the request during a courtesy visit to Governor Sanwo-Olu at the Lagos State Government House on 7 May 2025. The visit was to present the report of PenCom’s 2024 routine inspection of the Lagos State Pension Commission (LASPEC) and to thank the Governor for confirming his participation as Special Guest at the Pension Industry Leadership Retreat starting 8 May 2025. PENCOM pledges to see that Lagos State pays CPS retirees.

Director General of National Pension Commission, Ms Omolola Oloworaran has pledged that the Commission will fast track and work towards Lagos State government paying retirees under the Contributory Pension Scheme what is due to them like their federal counterparts. She made the pledge at a media workshop in Lagos for journalists.
