The National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, has said that persistent smuggling threatens national economy and security.
The NSA who said this during a high-level stakeholders meeting with the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, applauded the Customs’ boss for his commitment to tightening surveillance across Nigeria’s borders to curb petroleum product smuggling.

Ribadu who praised the efforts of the Customs Service under Adeniyi’s leadership, highlighted the agency’s role in not only securing Nigeria’s borders but also safeguarding the integrity of the country’s economy.
