Transportation Guru/Consultant Dr Alade Musa bags another International Award.

His bag is full of awards locally and Internationally for his impact and contributions to the development of the transportation sector not only in Nigeria but also internationally.

Dr. Oluwasegun Alade Musa, Managing Director and Chief Executive of Widescope International Logistics Limited, Chief Consultant Global Transport Policy, will this Friday 25th of October in Ghana receive another International Award from Trade Unions in Africa for his impact in Africa and the World at large.

He is known for his dynamics and purposeful lectures on how to drive the transportation sector towards achieving nations economic growth.

 Already he has received 173 awards, locally and Internationally. 

His organization has trained staff and top people in Organizations such as Immigration, Nigerian Police, Lastma, Civil Defense and a host of others. Just recently the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria and Nigeria Labour Congress members were trained.

Dr Musa said the training is to help to put practitioners in the transportation sector and other sectors in the same pedestal and page towards harmonisation and consolidate each sector in a way that they will know the interest of the government and target in driving the economy to prosperity 

According to him, this is the contributions of his organization in driving the economy.

Dr. Musa who has been in the transportation sector for over 3 decades said the various awards trigger him to always bring the best out him.

Speaking with FocusNews Editor Afolabi Oyekunle, he called on the government to fuse back into one Ministry all the Ministries that have been pulled out of the Ministry of Transportation.

"We need a single industry that will superintendent over every ministry be it aviation, road, rail or Maritime."

He said the best time Nigeria achieve greatness in the transportation industry was when all the Ministries that have been established separately were together under one umbrella 

Dr. Musa said with the fusion of all the Ministries under one, the vision and policies of the government in the area of transportation will be better achieved.

He also called for intermodal system of transportation in the country to enhance effective transportation.

"If you allow only a single model of transportation to be overstretched it will turn out to be a waste of resources and time."

PenCom urges Lagos State Governor to extend periodic pension increase to retirees under CPS, as Sanwoolu welcomes the idea.

The National Pension Commission (PenCom)  has called on  the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to extend periodic pension increases currently enjoyed by Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS) retirees to those under the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) to boost their monthly pensions.  The Director General of PenCom, Ms. Omolola Oloworaran, made the request during a courtesy visit to Governor Sanwo-Olu at the Lagos State Government House on 7 May 2025. PENCOM pledges to see that Lagos State pays CPS retirees.

Director General of National Pension Commission, Ms Omolola Oloworaran has pledged that the Commission will fast track and work towards Lagos State government paying retirees under the Contributory Pension Scheme what is due to them like their federal counterparts. She made the pledge at a media workshop in Lagos for journalists.
