APC Chieftain calls on members in Lagos State to close ranks, and forget differences over recent party primaries.

A top Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress party, APC who is the South-West Organizing Secretary, Honourable Lateef Ibirogba has called on those who lost in the local government primaries
and winners to close ranks, come together, forge ahead and ensure victory for the party in the coming local government election in Lagos state


Commenting on the outcome of the primaries, Honourable Ibirogba said there must be winners and losers,as those who lost could win tomorrow.


He  said in the sprit of sportsmanship those concern should accept the results in good faith and work together in the interest of the party and ensure victory for APC in their respective local governments.

He said the party will ensure reconciliation and peace to reign among all members of the party.

Concerning the primary of the Agbado -Oke Odo  LCDA, Honourable Ibirogba said there is already a winner in the person of Abiodun Jimoh Isola as Chairman candidate and Kehinde Sobuyo as Vice, while 7 Councillors also emerged.

He appealed to those who are protesting against the election to close up with the winners and embrace peace .


He called on the party members to know that the party decision supercede all others.

PenCom urges Lagos State Governor to extend periodic pension increase to retirees under CPS, as Sanwoolu welcomes the idea.

The National Pension Commission (PenCom)  has called on  the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to extend periodic pension increases currently enjoyed by Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS) retirees to those under the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) to boost their monthly pensions.  The Director General of PenCom, Ms. Omolola Oloworaran, made the request during a courtesy visit to Governor Sanwo-Olu at the Lagos State Government House on 7 May 2025. PENCOM pledges to see that Lagos State pays CPS retirees.

Director General of National Pension Commission, Ms Omolola Oloworaran has pledged that the Commission will fast track and work towards Lagos State government paying retirees under the Contributory Pension Scheme what is due to them like their federal counterparts. She made the pledge at a media workshop in Lagos for journalists.
