The Nigerian Railway Corporation has extended the extra train trips on Lagos- Ibadan and Abuja to Kaduna till Tuesday.
According to a release by the Acting Deputy Director Public Relations, Unyimadu Relations, this is in response to the exceptional surge in passengers turnout during the Eid- el- Kabir celebrations.
The additional special train services will be across NRC major standard gauge corridors on Monday 9th June 2025.
According to the Corporation, the special trips on Thursday, 5th June, witnessed full bookings and high commuters traffic."
The extra trips on Monday is expected to ease return travel for festive travellers heading back to their destinations.

NRC says to manage the continued high demand on the Abuja-Kaduna corridors, the Corporation will extend its full Six-trips daily schedule originally applicable from Friday to Monday, to Tuesday, 11th June 2025.
According to the Managing Director of NRC Kayode Opeifa, the move reflects the corporation's responsiveness to public needs and dedication to delivering efficient, safe and timely rail services.
"We are pleased with the public's response to our special services. These additional trips are part of our commitment to meeting the growing demand for rail mobility," he said.
NRC advises all passengers to arrive early for security screening and boarding as train departure are strictly on schedule.
Passengers are also reminded to complete their online bookings in advance.
