Autonomy of local governments will propel all round developments in the country.... Honourable Kayode Obaleye.

Honourable Kayode Obaleye won outright in his Constituency as a Councilor within Agbado-Oke Odo Local Council Development Area  in the just concluded local governments election in Lagos State under the umbrella of the APC party.

He is a two-timer as he represented his Constituency in the out-going administration in Agbado-Oke Odo  Council Development Area.

A gentleman and compassionate who always identified with the people of Ward F as he facilitated empowerment for the people. He constructed bore holes, empowered the youths and ensured palliatives to the people during his first time.

Commenting on the just concluded local government election in his Ward, he admitted a low-turn out of the electorates attributing it to delay arrival of LASIEC officials. He however commended LASIEC for a peaceful election.

Honourable Obaleye called for the speedy grant of autonomy for local governments in the country and recognition of the 37 Council Development Areas in Lagos State as full fledged Local governments.

He said the autonomy will enable the local governments to perform more functions and accelerate developmental projects making the people to benefit more from the dividends of democracy.

Honourable Obaleye said as the closest government to the people they are in better position to know the needs of their people and represent them better.

On his second time, he pledged not to dissatisfied his people and promised to use his position to press for more projects that will contribute to the development of his Constituency and uplift the people.

Association of Senior Civil Servants affirms Comrade Shehu Mohammed as National President.

In a Press Statement issued in Abuja today, (1st March, 2025), the ASCSN Secretary-General, Comrade Joshua Apebo emphasized that Comrade Shehu Mohammed was elected the National President of the Union on Monday 12th August 2024 with other members of the Central Working Committee (CWC) during the 5th Quadrennial National Delegates Conference of the Association held at Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.
