There are leaders who don't need too much noise before you know they are working through their actions.
One of such leaders is Agbado-Oke Odo LCDA Chairman, Honourable Jimoh Isola who recently marked his 100days in office.
By what he has achieved within 100days in office through infrastructure development and addressing the needs of the people, it's not difficult to know that Honourable Jimoh Isola is God sent to meet the needs of the people.
To mark his 100days purposeful leadership in office he showered love and affection to the people.
On Thursday, 18th December 2025, he put smiles on the people as a sum of 100thousand naira each was distributed to 300 people amounting to 30million naira.
Speaking on the necessity for the grant, Honourable Jimoh Isola said it's a commitment and intervention to strengthen the financial capabilities of the people.
"The Eji/Renewed Cash grant came to life as we commenced the disbursement of financial support and supporting small scale businesses within our community:
He said it is also part of his administration inclusive economic growth, towards grassroots empowerment and people centered government.
I want to assure all residents that adequate and solid arrangements have been put in place by the council to ensure that we have accurate data base of all beneficiaries of the monthly cash transfer programme to guard against one person receiving the money twice or more while others are not benefiting at all", the council chairman submitted.
He explained further that, for residents to benefit from the monthly cash transfer programme, they must present to the council evidence of their permanent voters card(PVC) and national identification number in Nigeria
Many of the people who spoke to FocusNews described the gesture as a good one towards helping the people, particularly the low income earners to stand on their feet, in business and financially.
They said what is happening under the administration of Honourable Jimoh Isola is a great thing and they showered their praises and prayers on him. According to the people, Honourable Jimoh Isola is sent by God to deliver the people from poverty and enhance the development of Agbado-Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area.
Also as part of his administration's mission to reposition grassroot governance for the benefit of residents of Agbado Oke-Odo local council development area, he is commencing the construction of twelve major roads across seven wards of the council.
According to him the roads were carefully selected because of their importance and connectivity to the economic development of the council.
He explained that when completed, the roads will greatly reduce the time spent by residents on these roads to link major roads within and outside the council.
He urged residents and other stakeholders in Agbado Oke-Odo lcda to believe in his administration's ability to provide for them, dividend of democracy .
According to the council chairman popularly called the " Black Messiah" by residents and members of staff, the construction of eleven out of the twelve roads will take six months before they are completed, with covered drainages on both sides, surfacing with interlocking and street lights.He added that the roads will have lane marking and painting of the kerbs.
Mayor Isola disclosed further that all the roads have been awarded to competent and tested contractors and the council, through its Works and Housing department will supervise the construction work to ensure that the contractors carry out the job according to laid down specifications and best standard.
He added that one of the twelve roads,Ogundare street in Ile Epo will be ready in three weeks because it only requires rehabilitation.
According to the council chairman, out of the other eleven roads that require total construction, work has commenced on three, because the contractors have moved to site this week, while work will begin on the other eight roads before the end of December.
Mayor Isola listed the roads where construction work has commenced to include,Iperu Akesan road in Iyana Ipaja (Ward A), Adeleye road , also in Iyana Ipaja (Ward A), the two roads, according to the council chairman link each other.
Omisesan road in Moshalashi Alagbado (Ward F) is the third road where work has also begun.
The eight roads where contractors have not moved to site include, Awonusi street, Moshalashi Alagbado (Ward G),Ogunrinde street, also in Moshalashi Alagbado, (Ward G), Remi Odubori street in Suberu-Oje(Ward G),Aderupoko street in Oke-Odo (Ward B)
Others are,Fadeyemi street in Aboru(Ward C), Adedirab street in Iyana Ipaja (Ward A), Risikatu Majaro street,U -Turn,Abule Egba (Ward D) and Oluwafeni street, in Ekoro(Ward E)
The council chairman appealed to residents of these twelve roads to cooperate with the contractors handling the construction to enable them complete their job on time and within the scheduled six months period.
He reiterated his interest to see to the upliftment of the people of the area, through infrastructure development, education of the students, welfare, health, caring for the vulnerable, as well as road construction.
Among services available during the two days, Wednesday 17th and Thursday,18th December, were hypertension screening, diabetes screening, cervical cancer screening, and prostate cancer screening.
He also presented a new ambulance procured by his administration to the public.
