As Muslims and Christians begin fasting today, Agbado-Oke-Odo LCDA Chairman urges them to pray for peace in the country.

Its God's will that the Moslems Ramadan and Christian Lent begin the same day, Wednesday February 18th, 2026.
In view of this, Chairman Agbado-Oke Odo LCDA, Honourable Jimoh Isola Ejigbadero has urged them to remember the nation in their prayers, for peace and unity, continue progress.
"I join the Christian community in marking the commencement of the 2026 Lenten season, which begins today, February 18, 2026, with Ash Wednesday observances.
Lent is a sacred period in the Christian faith devoted to fasting, prayer, repentance, and spiritual renewal as believers prepare for the celebration of Easter. It is a season that calls for deep reflection, self-discipline, sacrifice, and renewed commitment to godly virtues."
He encourage all Christians within Agbado/Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area and beyond to use this solemn period to pray for peace, unity, and continued progress in our community and the nation at large.
Let's continue to embrace love, charity, tolerance, and harmony, which are the core teachings of the Lenten season.
"As we embark on this spiritual journey, may God grant us the grace for sincere repentance and abundant blessings.
