Agbado-Oke Odo LCDA progressing fast under Mayor Jimoh Ejigbadero.... Honourable Shobayo.

If there is a Local Council Development Area(LCDA) to emulate in Lagos state in terms of developmental efforts, it is no other than Agbado-Oke Odo LCDA , under the leadership of Major Jimoh Ishola Ejigbadero.

Speaking to FocusNews, the Executive Vice Chairman of the LCDA, Honourable Adetunji Shobayo said the present administration under the Chairman, Abiodun Ejigbadero has in the few months in office done a lot to develop the LCDA and empower the people.

In the area of road construction, Honourable Adetunji Shobayo said contracts has been awarded for the construction of twelve major roads across the seven wards of the council, while reconstruction of many streets are going on.

In the area of empowerment of the people, the Vice Chairman said 400 vulnerable residents of the council area had been empowered with 100,000thousand naira each to help them in their various trade and vocation.

According to him to mark the 100days of the administration, the first batch of 300 beneficiaries were presented with 100thousand naira each, while another batch of 100 people received their own recently.

He said this is part of the plans of the Chairman, Honourable Jimoh Ishola Ejigbadero to see that the people are empowered.

Also he said many stakeholders in the council areas have also been empowered, including marketmen and women, Clergymen and Imams.

In the area of education, Honourable Adetunji Shobayo said the administration is concerned about the youths, hence many students were helped towards purchasing JAMB and GCE forms. He said the administration will continue to look towards ways of helping the youths and students. He assured that the administration is also looking towards rehabilitation of schools in the LCDA.

In the area of health, the Agbado-Oke LCDA Vice Chairman, said health centres are being rehabilitated while ambulances have been provided. He assured that the LCDA is concerned about the health care of the people and will ensure the health centres are adequately stocked with provisions, drugs and personnel.

In the area of security, he said the administration is working in tandem with security agencies such as the police, Civil defence and others to ensure proper security of lives and property.

Honourable Shobayo said the LCDA is also much concern about the environment and has been active to see that the people keep their environment clean. According to him, the LCDA is now cleaner and environment friendly.

He pledged that in the next 3 years of the Honorable Jimoh Ishola Ejigbadero led administration many developmental projects will have come to fruition, assuring that the people will not be neglected as the administration is people focus.

The Vice Chairman appealed to the people to continue to support the present administration in the LCDA, and maintain peace .

He also called on the people to ensure they perform their Civic rights paying their taxes and tenement rates.

PENCOM pledges to see that Lagos State pays CPS retirees.

Director General of National Pension Commission, Ms Omolola Oloworaran has pledged that the Commission will fast track and work towards Lagos State government paying retirees under the Contributory Pension Scheme what is due to them like their federal counterparts. She made the pledge at a media workshop in Lagos for journalists. CPS Pensioners in Lagos State, call on Governor Sanwoolu to expedite action on their Pension increases.
