Muslims urge to keep to the good virtues of Ramadan.

As Moslems celebrate the Eid Mubarak, the end of the fasting period, they have been urged to continue to keep to the lessons and good virtues of Ramadan, and refrain from sins, evil acts, corruption and fornication. 

Imam Mufutau Okanlawon of Aranse Oluwa Central Mosque in Ilapo, Alagbado area, in Lagos state said this at the Eid prayer.

  In his sermon at the Eid prayer, he called on any  Muslim  living a hypocrite life to desist and stick to the rules of Islam, which stipulate holiness,righteousness and good living life.

He therefore advised them not to go back to the evil ways they have abandoned during the Ramadan.

Speaking with FocusNews after the prayers, the South West Organising Secretary of the APC, Honourable Lateef Ibirogba encouraged Muslims to continue to grow in Islam, refrain from sins, continue to be their brothers keepers and live a prayerful lives.

Honourable Ibirogba also urged them to keep to the Tenets of Islam, doing good, have faith in the words of God, and live a life of giving to the less privileged.

The APC Chieftain said Islam preaches obedience to the Authority in power, and thereby called for cooperation with the government.

 He advised Muslims not to be sabouteers of government programs but work towards the progress of the nation.

Honourable Ibirogba said they should be grateful to God for His kindness and love towards them.

Honourable Ibirogba called for self examination by everyone, calling on all Muslims to adhere to the dictates of the Holy Quoran. He warned that nobody should consider himself bigger than the words of God in the Quran


Also, speaking the Executive Vice Chairman of Agbado-Oke Odo Local Council Development Area, Honourable  Yusua Adetunji Shobayo also  appealed to Muslims to be their brothers keepers, refrain from sins and live Holy lives.

Honourable Shobayo said it is not only during Ramadan that one should live a holy life but everyday.

PENCOM pledges to see that Lagos State pays CPS retirees.

Director General of National Pension Commission, Ms Omolola Oloworaran has pledged that the Commission will fast track and work towards Lagos State government paying retirees under the Contributory Pension Scheme what is due to them like their federal counterparts. She made the pledge at a media workshop in Lagos for journalists. CPS Pensioners in Lagos State, call on Governor Sanwoolu to expedite action on their Pension increases.
