I will do unique things, if I become Lagos state Governor.... Elder (Dr) Ajose.

APC Aspirant to the position of Lagos state Governor, Elder (Dr.) Samuel Mauyon Ajose, has pledged to be unique and do unique things if he becomes the next Governor of Lagos state.

Elder Ajose said this at the public presentation of him to members of Celestial Church of Christ and to newsmen as the candidate of the Church for the next Governor of Lagos state.

He said the existing blue print will be study and improve upon to produce a master plan towards taking the blue print to another higher level.

He promised to introduce free medical care for all Lagosians to ensure they receive prompt health care.

Dr. Ajose speaking at the occasion.

He also pledged to pay living wages to civil servants arguing that the minimum wage of 70thousand naira cannot sustain them, giving the cost of living vis a vis, housing,  education of children, transportation and foodstuffs.

According to him, Lagos state under him will set a good example that will be standard for other states to follow.

Elder Ajose, who is from Badagry, said it's time the next Governor comes from Badagry zone, as it has been excluded since the creation of the state in 1967.

While thanking the Celestial Church hierarchy for endorsing him for Lagos state Governor in 2027, he said members of the church has over 3.5million to make it possible if committed to the cause.

He promised to ensure that members of the church who are yet to get their PVC and registered for APC do so .

Elder Ajose also thanked President Bola Tinubu for his purposeful leadership in steering the country, and pledged that with his endorsement, Celestians across the country will cast their votes for him for the second time.

PenCom urges Lagos State Governor to extend periodic pension increase to retirees under CPS, as Sanwoolu welcomes the idea.

The National Pension Commission (PenCom)  has called on  the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to extend periodic pension increases currently enjoyed by Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS) retirees to those under the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) to boost their monthly pensions.  The Director General of PenCom, Ms. Omolola Oloworaran, made the request during a courtesy visit to Governor Sanwo-Olu at the Lagos State Government House on 7 May 2025. PENCOM pledges to see that Lagos State pays CPS retirees.

Director General of National Pension Commission, Ms Omolola Oloworaran has pledged that the Commission will fast track and work towards Lagos State government paying retirees under the Contributory Pension Scheme what is due to them like their federal counterparts. She made the pledge at a media workshop in Lagos for journalists.
