PS Durodola appreciates Lagos Pensioners for their prayers, towards her appointment.

The Permanent Secretary, Local Government Service Commission, Mrs Bukunola Durodola has attributed her emergence as PS to the prayers of the Pensioners.

She made the remarks Friday evening when the Leadership of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners, NUP, Lagos State paid her a thank you visit in her Office at Old Secretariat, Ikeja.

Mrs Durodola said God answered the prayers of the Pensioners which came from the bottom of their hearts.

The Permanent Secretary said the modest achievements recorded at post service department, especially the Wellness Centers, were due to the cooperation of the Pensioners and sued for prayers to make it happen again.

Mrs Durodola said soon, she would join the Pensioners Club and thanked them for the visit.

Earlier, the Leader of the Delegation, Comrade Olukayode Bada said the whole idea was to show appreciation for what Mrs Durodola did to Pensioners while holding away at the post service department.

He described her as creative and wonderful and prayed God to continue to endow her with wisdom.

Highpoint of the visit was the presentation of a giant Card to the Permanent Secretary.
Prayers were also offered for successful tenure in Office.

PENCOM pledges to see that Lagos State pays CPS retirees.

Director General of National Pension Commission, Ms Omolola Oloworaran has pledged that the Commission will fast track and work towards Lagos State government paying retirees under the Contributory Pension Scheme what is due to them like their federal counterparts. She made the pledge at a media workshop in Lagos for journalists.
