In what stands as a historic milestone in the annals of Agbado/Oke-Odo LCDA, no fewer than twenty (20) public servants who attained statutory retirement in the year 2025 were honoured yesterday with certificates of recognition and farewell gifts under the administration of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Abiodun Jimoh Isola (Ejigbadero).
This is according to a press releases by Ojo Samuel Oluwafemi (femiOJO) Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman.
Speaking during the ceremony, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Abiodun Jimoh Isola (Ejigbadero), praised the retirees for their dedication and steadfastness, noting that their contributions have become an enduring part of the council's success story. He encouraged them to embrace retirement as a new chapter filled with opportunities for personal fulfilment, family engagement, community service, and continued relevance in society.
The event was not merely a farewell gathering; it was a celebration of excellence, dedication, and the invaluable contributions of individuals whose years of service helped shape the growth and development of the council. The retirees, who served in various departments and capacities, were commended for their professionalism, diligence, loyalty, and unwavering commitment to the ideals of public service.
Through their years of service, they contributed significantly to policy implementation, service delivery, institutional growth, and the strengthening of grassroots governance, leaving behind legacies that will continue to inspire both present and future generations of public servants.
Though these retirees may have taken their final bow from active public service, their legacy of dedication, integrity, and selfless service will continue to echo through the corridors of the council and the communities they served. Their story is proof that true service never truly ends, it lives on the lives touched, the institutions strengthened, and the generations inspired.
"The Ejigbadero administration remains steadfast in its commitment to building a safer, stronger, and more people-centred Agbado/Oke-Odo LCDA, where service is valued, dedication is rewarded, and progress remains the collective goal."
In a related development, and as part of his administration's unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and public assets, the Chairman also presented operational tools to security personnel serving across the Council Headquarters and the three Area Offices of the LCDA.
The security equipment is expected to enhance surveillance, improve operational efficiency, strengthen emergency response capabilities, and support ongoing efforts aimed at maintaining peace, order, and the safety of residents and council facilities.
This strategic intervention further underscores the administration's determination to create a secure environment where residents can live, work, and conduct their daily activities with confidence, while ensuring that security personnel are adequately equipped to discharge their responsibilities effectively.
