NUPENG affirms readiness to collaborate with the Ministry Of Labour and productivity in advancing industrial harmony and protecting the rights of petroleum workers.

The National Executive President of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), Comrade Salimon Akanni Oladiti,
has reaffirmed the Union’s readiness to collaborate with the Ministry Of Labour and productivity in advancing industrial harmony and protecting the rights of all petroleum workers.
He made the affirmation in when he led a powerful senior union officials to pay a formal courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi, at his office in the Federal Secretariat Complex, Abuja.
Comrade Salimon Akanni Oladiti expressed profound gratitude to the Honourable Minister and his team for their consistent support and dedication to the welfare of Nigerian workers, particularly those in the oil and gas industry.
The meeting, underscored the Union's unwavering commitment to constructive dialogue and partnership with key government stakeholders, was marked by warm exchanges and mutual respect.
In his remarks, the Minister, Dr. Dingyadi extended hearty congratulations to Comrade Oladiti and the entire NUPENG leadership on their successful emergence following a peaceful and transparent 6th Quadrennial National Delegates Conference held in April 2026.
The Minister emphasised the critical role of NUPENG in Nigeria's economy, stating that the oil and gas sector remains the backbone of the nation, and a harmonious labour environment is essential for national growth.
