NUPENG President hails President Tinubu reforms in the petroleum sector.

The newly elected National Executive President of NUPENG, Comrade Salimon Akanni Oladiti, last Thursday led a powerhouse delegation of Union leaders on a landmark courtesy visit to His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, at the State House, Abuja.

The high-stakes meeting was not just a courtesy—it was a coronation of solidarity. 

In a powerful display of national recognition, Comrade Oladiti conferred the prestigious Grand Patron Award on His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, symbolizing the unwavering partnership between the Labour force and the Presidency.

Flanked by the Honorable Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris; Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Heineken Lokpobiri; and the full complement of newly elected National Administrative Council members, Comrade Oladiti thanked the President for his bold reforms in the oil and gas industry.

Comrade Oladiti also lauded Mr. President for his support during the successful 6th Quadrennial National Delegates Conference convened in April 2026, pledging the Union's full support for the administration's Renewed Hope Agenda.

Also present in the historic delegation were the Union's finest leaders and some key stakeholders, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the President.

CPS Pensioners in Lagos state call on Gov. Sanwoolu, to expedite action on the payment of their Benefits.

The delay in the payment of their Pension Arears and other entitlements is worrisome to the Contributory Pensioners in Lagos state, who called on Governor Babajide Sanwoolu to quickly take a decisive action to pay their areas and other entitlements as approved by President Bola Tinubu. PENCOM pledges to see that Lagos State pays CPS retirees.

Director General of National Pension Commission, Ms Omolola Oloworaran has pledged that the Commission will fast track and work towards Lagos State government paying retirees under the Contributory Pension Scheme what is due to them like their federal counterparts. She made the pledge at a media workshop in Lagos for journalists.
