The body of distinguished journalist, erudite and versatile communicator, Sylvester Enoghase, former Business Editor of Daily Independent Newspaper and Chairman Emeritus of Labour Writers Association of Nigeria, (LAWAN) was today committed to mother earth after a funeral service.
Sylvester Enoghase died on 16th June 2026, after a brief sickness.
At a farewell service for him today, at Old Akute road, in Iju area of Agege local government, Pastor Nathaniel Oji, of Revival Assembly, Ogba, said his death should not be misinterpreted, because knowing God, Sylvester was his child and was called home according to the will of God.
According to the Pastor, God cannot be questioned because he is the owner of Sylvester life .
"To everything there is a season and time, time to be born and die."
Pastor Oji said the deceased lived a fulfilled life full of impact to humanity, families, friends and associates. He said as a human being he might not be perfect, assuring the people that Sylvester is in heaven with God
He urged the families, friends and associates to take solace that when he was on earth, he became born again and knew Christ.
The first lesson was read by one of his sons, Samuel Enoghase and the second by Lauretta Enoghase.
Prayers were offered for the family for protection, good will and cooperation among the family.
To many people, late Sylvester Enoghase lived an impactful life worth emulating.
To his children, their father was more than a father but their teacher and guide.
