By Afolabi Oyekunle.

It was an atmosphere of overwhelming joy, thanksgiving and exuberant praise as Rhema Christian Church & Towers marked the second day of its on-going 35th Anniversary.

The anniversary celebration, which formed a major highlight of the Convention, provided an opportunity for the church to reflect on its remarkable journey, celebrate God's sustaining power and acknowledge the tremendous growth recorded since its establishment 35 years ago.

Speaking at the occasion, the Presiding Bishop of Rhema Christian Church & Towers, His Grace, Archbishop Dr. Taiwo Akinola, gave an inspiring account of God's faithfulness through the years, recounting several significant incidents and experiences in the history of the ministry that testified to the power, mercy and miraculous intervention of God.

He recalled that Rhema Christian Church started with just a handful of members, but through the grace of God, commitment to the divine mandate and unwavering faith, the ministry has grown into a global Christian movement with congregations and branches across different parts of the world.

The Archbishop expressed profound gratitude to God for His unfailing support, divine preservation and the countless testimonies that have accompanied the ministry's journey. He noted that the 35-year milestone was not merely a celebration of institutional growth but, more importantly, a testimony to the faithfulness of God and the fulfilment of His purpose.

He encouraged members, ministers and friends of the ministry to remain steadfast in their commitment to God, stressing that the same God who had sustained the church over the past 35 years would continue to lead it into greater dimensions of spiritual impact, growth and global influence.

The celebration also provided a foretaste of what promises to be one of the major highlights of the Convention that is the much-anticipated HOSANNA NIGHT OF PRAISE, scheduled for Friday, November 6, 2026, at 9:00 p.m.

Archbishop Akinola assured participants that this year's Hosanna Night would be an extraordinary experience of high praise, passionate worship and joyful celebration of God's goodness.

He disclosed that several renowned gospel artistes, including popular gospel music minister Tosin Bee, would be present to lead the congregation in spirited songs of praise, worship and thanksgiving.

He further expressed confidence that the night would provide an unforgettable opportunity for Champions and other worshippers to express their gratitude to God through singing, dancing and heartfelt adoration.

The Rhema World Convention 2026, which marks the 35th Anniversary of the ministry, is being celebrated under the theme "MORE THAN CONQUERORS", drawn from Romans 8:37: "Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us." (KJV).

The week-long Convention features an exciting blend of worship, prayer, biblical teachings, ministerial enrichment, miracles and spiritual encounters, with ministers, worshippers and delegates expected from different locations.
